2NE1 attends 2010 Style Icon Awards with Jeremy Scott

2NE1 were the only female girl group that attended the 2010 Style Icon Awards on November 17, 2010. They walked the red carpet with their fashion god-daddy, Jeremy Scott. As predicted, the girls were dressed in Jeremy Scott, once again, making a bold fashion statement (especially CL).

The limelight was definitely on CL (이채린) and her hanger dress. The satin dress is gorgeous and ridiculous at the same time but absolutely perfect and appropriate for the event. I wonder if CL's arm is aching from holding the hanger? Her outfit was completed with a pair of thigh high boots from Tabitha Simmons.

Sandara Park (박산다라) wore the Cross Dress. The dress is available for purchase on Opening Ceremony for USD$785.00.

Both Park Bom (박봄) and Gong Minzy (공민지) were wearing similar prints. Not a huge fan of the dresses but Park Bom looks great with her newly dyed hair.

Gong Minzy on the other hand looked terrible. The hair is not working for her, the dress is really unflattering for her figure and the sheer tights made it worst.

Needless to say, CL was my favorite. I love her boldness for wearing the dress and her confidence. I'm surprised they weren't dressed in Scott's latest collection.

  2. they are absolutely ridiculous, fashion isn't about looking weird its about looking good, and this just doesn't look good, nor graceful in any way, and on another note everyone should dress for their shape, and bom in the suit just look ludicrous, she has no shape might as well create one!

  3. generally, i thought their outfits were tamed. it was only the prints that were ridiculous. and cl's hanger, but it was a hint of genius at the same time. thankfully, CL rocked that dress, her hair is perfect too. wasn't big on bom's jumpsuit. and agreed on minji's hair, i think it photographed really ugly.

    CL look so fine fly but i think the same about that hanger...(it'll be fun if jeramy help CL to holding it) LOL :}
DARA,she pretty as always but this outfit is too simple..
BOMIE,HER SHAPE AND SKIN HAS POTENTIAL TO BE MORE GORGEOUS AND SEXY THAN THIS....

  6. CL totally rocked that dress and the hair and make-up were well done, she was just really well put together and carried the dress off with confidence and class. She looked stunning and anyone who says otherwise can just go stick their head in a gutter :D

Not feeling the other outfits though. It's lovely to see Minzy in a dress but just not that one. She has a really great and toned body but that dresswas very unflattering and the hair is not working for me. I hate the colour and the styling...I miss her brown hair with golden highlights that she had during 2NE1's hiatus. She looked stunning with it.

Bom has great legs which the outfit showcased but she has no shape in her middle area...she's kind of like a box so i think she could have worked Minzy's dress better.

The dress looked great on Dara, but the hairstyle has got to go....i really wanna hit 2NE1's hairstylists over the head sometimes especially when it comes to what they do to Dara lol

But all in all these outfits were waaay better than their performance outfits. J scott needs to stay away from my girls for a while lol

  7. dear anonymous #5 this is anonymous #2,,, fashion is about looking good, or else the term fashion terrorist wouldn't have been invented, but then you're quoting coco chanel in what seems to be a back up to what im saying, you should look good in what you're wearing,,, they just dont look good here, fashion is definitely not about being an outcast..

Yes, it's definitely about looking good and fit. Unless they are able to pull out ridiculous and unfitting looks and still look good, but they have been failing now and then.

Fashion is subjective. No fan wars please.

  10. i reckon CL wore the best outfit that night (out of 2NE1 that is). im not a fan of all of jeremy scotts things nor am i a fan of his (neither an anti btw).. but when i saw CLs dress i just thought-- wow what an awesome dress! lol
Dara's dress was good too imo! it just wasn't as epic as CL's.
but thank goodness someone has a similar opinion about minjis outfit with me (not her hair though.. it grows on you). this dress doesn't suit her.
bom's outfit was sort of.. meh. i wished she wore on of JS's other outfits.

but then again, i guess the girls were limited to this range of JScotts things.. i hope they wear more interesting items during MAMA 2010 though :)

  11. I can't say I like any of them, I saw the runway photos before these so maybe that's why this feels so forced.. Like the outfits own them and not the other way around - if you know what I mean
