Wonder Girls attends more fashion shows at New York Fashion Week

September 17, 2010 marks Day 1 of London Fashion Week which I am incredibly excited for, which also means the end of New York Fashion Week. We've seen the Wonder Girls attending shows like Concept Korea, Y-3 and many others over the past week...

They also went to Anna Sui, Alice & Olivia, Jeremy Scott, Milly as well as Tory Burch.

I saw a few people tweeting that Fashion Week is the Halloween for the people who loves fashion and I couldn't agree more! No one is gonna judge you even if you're in the most ridiculous outfits, some people will say its 'Fashionable'.

In this case.. it was a Halloween for me when I saw pictures of Wonder Girls attending Jeremy Scott's fashion show on September 15, 2010. The ladies were dressed head-toe (more or less) in Jeremy Scott Fall 2010 collection.

Finally Yubin looks amazing! But I can't say the same for Sunye and Yenny, I wished Sunye would put on a brighter smile. Sohee looked amazing in those boots.. makes me think of her in the Superwoman outfit. Haelim should have put on boots like the others.

The Wonder Girls also met actress/former-model Denise Richards at Alice & Olivia.

The ladies were also at Anna Sui's fashion show which was held on September 15, 2010.

Honestly, I am happy that they are 'promoting' themselves out in United States (which is not easy) but going to so many shows. Do you get sick of them.. like how some of us do with 'Nobody'? I'm bored, next please.

Overexposed? Hmm.. what do you think?

  2. its great that they are going to shows but is this going to help their music? to be honest most of america aren't all about fashion week.
    and what's up with them un-discretely wearing these designer's looks?! i get that ppl wear the clothes from the designers to shows but they look like they should have been on the last season's runway rather than guests.

  3. It is somewhat over exposing themselves. I was at A+O; they walked the red carpet and then immediately left...did not mingle, I don't even think they looked at the collection!

  4. I'm not sure about their schedule right now but it seems to me that they have a lot of free time in the US (they're not working for a major US project and they're not working on a new album are they?). So I guess the only thing they can do to get some kind of exposure is attend fashion week. Yet as you say too much is too much.
    They should have broken into smaller groups (of 2-3 girls) to attend the shows instead of doing full group appearances. This would have also made their styling easier: there is always 1- 2 girls whose outfit doesn't work.

    Can someone tell me why Haelim is always the worst dressed?

    That's true, but they went to eight shows!

    @effortlesscool
    Some celebrities get paid for attending a show, I wondering if they are going just to get paid + exposure or to support designers and look at the collection. What's funny is, they don't wear lots of clothing from the designer shows they go to.

    @Mi
    I just felt that they should just attend a few shows, like 3-4. Not EIGHT. You're right.. 1-2 girls' outfit doesn't work and Haelim is kinda always the worst dressed. Which is really disappointing.

  6. I think they shouldn't over do it too, but what i really don't like are the poses, i hate to say this because im a fan of the wgs but they dont look good with those poses, they just look like they're trying to copy someone or fierce

  7. i just realized that i didnt make sense in my comment, what i meant was that they looked like they were trying too hard to look fierce or like they were coping a pose they thought looked good on someone

  8. I reeeeeeaally want to know what Yoobin is wearing at the Jeremy Scott and Alice and Olivia show.
    The skull and black cat? Could it be something from Jeremy Scott or maybe just some accesories?

  9. If you're bored of them, then maybe it's time to stop posting about them :) K-pop artists going abroad just can't seem to win--if they promote themselves, they're "overexposed". If they don't, they're lazy and aren't trying.

    Maybe they should've gone to fewer shows, but then again that is a scheduling issue on JYPE's part. WG actually *don't* have a lot of free time--if you follow them, you can see they're constantly jet-setting. Either in Malaysia or Singapore or Indonesia or back in Korea or back in the US again. They were personally invited to a lot of these shows, so it may just all boil down to wanting to be nice and honoring those invitations.

  10. Have you noticed that they're always covering Ye-euns legs?
    seriously half of the outfits she wore would have look so much more better without the leggings/stockings

  11. As the first commenter said, overexposed, maybe for us but not for american audience. It looks like they're tired/bored, only Sohee seems to have fun and with yoobin is looking fierce... She's shadowing the rest of the band seriously..
